Insider Leaks What Tiger Woods Has Secretly Been Working on Amidst His PGA Tour Hiatus

Motor City Golf Club Set to Join TGL in 2027 Amid Ford Family Involvement

Tiger Woods’s TGL venture continues to stir excitement, and the latest buzz points to Detroit stepping into the spotlight. Recent developments have revealed that TGL Holdings LLC has filed a trademark for “Motor City Golf Club,” indicating that Detroit may soon be home to a new franchise in the tech-infused indoor golf league.

Adding to the speculation, the Ford family—owners of the NFL’s Detroit Lions—were previously seen attending TGL matches, fueling rumors about their potential involvement. Now, those whispers have been validated by a key figure in the Detroit golf scene.

Mike Sullivan, the founder of Metro Detroit Golfers, announced on social media that the Motor City Golf Club will be the first official expansion team of the TGL. According to him, the team will begin competing in the league’s third season, slated for 2027.

The ownership group behind the team is composed of notable individuals and organizations. Leading the group are Michael Hamp and Middle West Partners, with key contributions from Sheila Ford Hamp, principal owner and chair of the Detroit Lions, as well as Rob Walton, owner of the Denver Broncos. The group also includes other limited partners with strong ties to both the global sports industry and the Detroit community.

The announcement marks a significant milestone for TGL as it continues to expand its footprint in the sports world. The arrival of Motor City Golf Club is expected to enhance Detroit’s reputation as a growing hub for major sports franchises. While reactions have been mixed, with some fans skeptical and others excited, there’s no denying that this move adds a fresh dimension to the league and to Detroit’s sports narrative.

This story is still unfolding, and more updates are expected as the official team launch draws closer.
