Wavegarden Unveils HTX Surf: Houston’s Epic Wave Pool Set for 2027

Surfing Comes to Houston
Wavegarden, the leader in synthetic wave technology, has officially announced its newest surf destination—HTX Surf, coming to Houston, Texas in 2027. This marks a major expansion of inland surfing in the U.S.

What to Expect
HTX Surf will feature Wavegarden’s powerful Cove system, including 52 modules capable of generating 20 different types of waves, from beginner ripples to advanced barrels. The surf park promises to bring authentic, ocean-like waves to the heart of Texas.

More Than Just Surf
The project will also include a membership club, restaurant, bar, and leisure areas. While construction dates haven’t been confirmed, HTX Surf stated on social media that they aim to launch by the end of 2027.

Wavegarden’s Ongoing Momentum
This announcement follows the debut of Wavegarden’s biggest project yet in São Paulo, Brazil. That pool features an upgraded Cove system, showcasing next-level barrel, reef, and air waves. Brazilian surf icon Gabriel Medina is already testing the facility’s potential.

Expanding Nationwide
HTX Surf is one of several upcoming projects by Beach Street Developments. Others include Atlantic Park in Virginia Beach (opening this summer) and DSRT Surf in Coachella Valley (early 2026).

Wavegarden’s latest move reinforces a clear message: the surf revolution is no longer limited to the coast.
