LPGA rookie leaps past Lexi Thompson and 80 others in rankings after FM Championship 2025 triumph

LPGA rookie Miranda Wang has made a stunning breakthrough, climbing the rankings after her maiden LPGA Tour victory at the FM Championship 2025. The 21-year-old Chinese golfer entered the event ranked 134th but surged up 81 spots to reach a career-best 53rd in the Rolex Women’s Golf Rankings.

 

In her 16th LPGA Tour start, Wang posted rounds of 66, 67, 65, and 70 at TPC Boston to secure her first win. The result also saw her move past veteran Lexi Thompson, who tied for 24th at the same tournament….
