Following the announcement of Destiny Udogie’s new contract, Fabrizio Romano stated that Tottenham was not finished extending contracts to players, and that Pape Matar Sarr was now prepared to start talks with the North London team.

Tottenham confirmed on Tuesday that Udogie had signed a new long-term contract that will keep him with the team until 2030. The left-back was rewarded for his exceptional play this season with the signing of the contract.

The 21-year-old, who acknowledged that he has felt at home at the North London club since day one, expressed his happiness at the agreement in an interview with the club’s official website.

Football.London reported earlier this week that Sarr might be the next to get a new deal, saying the midfield player is “unlikely to be far behind” Udogie, who scored the team’s first goal in Tottenham’s 4-1 victory over Newcastle United in North London over the weekend.

Pape Matar Sarr is expected to sign a new deal with the Spurs.

Romano has since provided evidence to support that assertion, claiming that Tottenham is currently working on several new agreements since the Italian international signed a contract.

The reporter said that Sarr’s performances this season have impressed the Lilywhites and that the Senegalese international is now “ready” to begin negotiations with the club.

In an interview with The Here We Go Podcast, Romano stated: “Yes, the new signing of Udogie is going to be in excess of €2 million net per season. This means a new salary and a longer contract until 2030. The club confirmed this on Monday, so everything is going to with Udogie.”

“Tottenham wishes to continue extending contracts. A player they would also like to make an offer to is Pape Matar Sarr, a very talented midfield player who has been with the team for almost two years and is now available to talk about a new contract.

Thus, there will be conversations with other players as well. For Udogie, the pay was crucial. Although the contract’s duration—2027—was excellent for Tottenham, they wanted to ensure that the pay was sufficient. In addition, other players will now talk about new contracts at Tottenham, where, in all honesty, nearly every player is delighted with Ange.
