The most recent information on James Maddison and Micky van de Ven, both wounded, has been provided by Alasdair Gold.

According to his report for Football London, the Dutch defender has an advantage over James Maddison in the competition to rejoin Postecoglou’s squad in the early part of 2019.

The 22-year-old has started doing some mild outdoor running, Gold continues. He and Madison, though, would only go back to group exercise when there is no chance that their injuries will repeat.

Their injuries occurred during the 4-1 loss to Chelsea. Maddison is set to be sidelined until February due to an ankle injury, while the former Wolfsburg defender is expected to recover in time for the FA Cup match against Burnley, according to Paul O Keefe.

Spurs lost five games in a row due to a severe injury issue that they experienced in the last several months.

However, it appears that the worst is behind them, as some players, like Richarlison, are back and playing well, and others are almost ready to return from their ailments.

They are now just one point behind fourth-place Manchester City after winning their last two games.

Spurs’ season still has plenty of potential left in it, but the January transfer window will be essential. They have a good chance of finishing in the top four if they can strengthen their team for next month. Under Ange, they could have the opportunity to advance far in the FA Cup as well.
