Spurs are interested in acquiring Lois Openda, a striker for RB Leipzig, but Manchester United is expected to be a rival.

When Tottenham sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in August, they made the decision not to sign a new center forward.

Choosing a different path, Ange Postecoglou and company were able to sign Wales international Brennan Johnson as a versatile forward.

Son Heung-min moved to the front line for Tottenham, and he has had a fantastic season.

Though Postecoglou implies that Son would prefer Tottenham to pursue another goal scorer, Spurs may still sign another striker.

Spurs are considering RB Leipzig’s Lois Openda.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham has expressed interest in RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda.

Spurs are rumored to have been keeping an eye on Openda in anticipation of a move for the Belgium international.

Openda has also been scouted by Manchester United, so Spurs may face fierce competition.

Over the summer, Leipzig paid about €45 million (£39 million) to sign Openda from RC Lens.

In just 19 games in the Bundesliga and Champions League, Openda has already smashed 14 goals and provided three assists.

Leipzig’s current estimated price tag is around £75 million, so Tottenham would need to pay an incredible sum to acquire him.

Openda moved to Club Brugge at the age of fifteen after spending time in the ranks of both RFC Liege and Standard Liege. She was born in Liege.

The 23-year-old scored just five goals in 53 games for Club Brugge, showing little sign of promise.

Openda, however, truly came to light during a two-year loan with Vitesse Arnhem, where he scored 37 goals in 88 games.

In 2022, RC Lens made a move by signing a permanent contract, and Openda’s incredible 21-goal season propelled them into the Champions League.

Openda is currently scoring goals for Leipzig as well. He appears to advance yearly, and the Premier League may be his next destination.

Openda, who former Club Brugge manager Philippe Clement praised as “super-fast,” has the potential to add a new angle to Tottenham’s attack, but Daniel Levy will need to work hard to make it happen.
