Sky Sports analyst Cristian Romero has come under fire from Gary Neville for his absurd tackles.

The Argentinean defender avoided being sent off for a reckless tackle during the victory over Newcastle.

Given that he had just served a three-game suspension for making a reckless tackle on Enzo during Chelsea’s match, the tackle was unexpected. He can be tamed, according to the Sky Sports panel, even though he will never learn.

Neville, in particular, was scathing in his criticism, saying that because Romero makes tackles like these so frequently, he had no sympathy for him.

He declared:

β€œHe’s insane, Romero.”

“He doesn’t think to slow himself down; he has to tackle everything.”

I’ve got very little sympathy for him because he does it that often.”

That tackle would also not sit well with Ange.

Spurs currently lack a natural center-back due to injuries to Eric Dier and Micky van de Ven.

Although Davies has performed admirably in a backup center back role, Ange cannot afford to lose Romero once more.

This is an area of the World Cup winner’s game that needs improvement. Despite being a world-class defender, tackles like these occasionally turn him into a liability for the team.
