After Newcastle United was humiliated 4-1 by Tottenham Hotspur, legendary player Alan Shearer has refused to offer any explanations.

Eddie Howe had to select the same 10 outfield players for the fifth straight game, and it soon became clear that fatigue would be a problem once more.

After the interval, Newcastle began to play better than they had in the first half. But all of that was in vain as Richarlison made it 3-0 to put an end to any prospects of a Toon comeback.

Son Heung Min then made it four, and Eddie Howe’s team’s Joelinton scored a consolation goal. Did we merit it? Perhaps not, but at least it provided the traveling Toon Army with a reason to rejoice following their Due to train problems, the trip to London proved to be challenging.

However, Howe’s team has yet to win a league game away from home this season as Newcastle has once again struggled on the road. Their performance away from St. James’ Park is worrisome and has to be greatly improved.

With Newcastle’s performance against Tottenham, Alan Shearer is not satisfied.

Newcastle United had a pretty miserable afternoon. Alan Shearer, speaking to the Premier League’s official website, outlined why Spurs were so much superior to the Magpies.

He declared, “No complaints, the best team won by a wide margin.”

They were quicker, stronger, and more fit. They made more chances and passed it more skillfully than Newcastle. I refuse to use my fatigue as a justification because I don’t like that, but Newcastle looked really flat from the first minute.”

On Wednesday, Newcastle must perform better than AC Milan.

Shearer’s observations are entirely accurate. Tottenham outperformed Newcastle in almost every area, especially in terms of possession.

The Magpies’ main problem was that. We wasted so much on the ball, carelessly handing it away so many times. After the break, we were able to retain the ball better, but even then, it was ponderous and slow.

As Shearer points out, Newcastle needs to get better before playing AC Milan on Wednesday night because they looked uninspired against Spurs. We need to win that game to maintain our hopes of qualifying for the Champions League, making it our biggest of the season so far.
