Ethan Ampadu stated prior to the match that there is still time to catch Ipswich and Leicester City. A huge game is coming up as Leeds United hosts Ipswich Town at Elland Road.

The difference has grown after two games without a victory. Leeds drew at Elland Road on Saturday after losing to Sunderland and failing to win against Coventry. a true regression in our quest for automatic advancement.

A victory over Ipswich on Saturday might correct that. A victory of that kind would cut the deficit to seven points, and anything can happen over the hectic Christmas season. Leeds might make up ground.

Before the match, Ampadu spoke to BBC Radio Leeds and expressed his confidence that, despite the margin, there is still enough time to catch up to the leaders in this incredible campaign.

“I think it’s pretty easy for all of us to shut down all the noise,” Although it is quite simple to say, the season is not over. It’s not the end of the season; they have a small lead,” he stated.

Still a lot of games, lot of minutes to be played. We have confidence in ourselves. To get that right, you have to take each game as it is, make sure the next 90 minutes is the best 90 minutes of the season.”

Andy Hinchcliffe has already spoken about this weekend’s clash. He feels the pressure is on us to get a result. He says Leicester will run away with the title – and it will be between us and Ipswich for second.

Whether Daniel Farke can mastermind another win over Ipswich, having done so 4-3 at Portman Road, we will have to wait and see. A manager that has come in for plenty of praise from John Giles this week.
