Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are three senior squad players that Tottenham Hotspur were told they might leave the team before the approaching January transfer window.

Football Insider has reported that clubs throughout Europe are reportedly interested in all three of them. In November, Dier was connected to a transfer to Bayern Munich, and Hojbjerg is rumored to be on Juventus’ wish list. Conversely, Lloris might stay in the Premier League as Newcastle United is rumored to be interested in him as they try to address their goalkeeper injuries.

Which players that Tottenham has listed for transfer should they keep?

Even though Lloris, Dier, and Hojbjerg were all important members of the Tottenham team in the past, Ange Postecoglou’s management has significantly reduced their playing time. For instance, Guglielmo Vicario has fully eclipsed Lloris at Spurs this season, making Lloris unavailable in any capacity.

Dier has only recently surpassed this in terms of playing time, having participated in three games across all competitions this season. Furthermore, he has only appeared in the starting lineup for two of the games in which he has participated.

Having participated in 18 of Spurs’ games so far this season, Hojbjerg has played a lot more football than the other two. In spite of this, neither a goal nor an assist has been recorded by the Danish international. Furthermore, he has just begun Premier League games since the 2023–2024 season.

Postecoglou appears eager to make his mark on the Spurs team; however, this means a number of the veteran players will have to make way. Considering his playing time, Hojbjerg will likely be the most missed member of the three, but he is not a permanent fixture.
