According to reports this week, West Ham has made contact with a £50 million striker as manager David Moyes searches the market for additional attacking alternatives.

Steidten is preparing to move a striker to West Ham.

Reputable media outlets such as club insider ExWHUemployee have previously stated that Tim Steidten, the technical director of the Hammers, intends to bring in a new striker for West Ham in January.

Due to injury, Michael Antonio has missed a significant portion of the season; consequently, Moyes doesn’t appear to think highly of Danny Ings, who hasn’t played much this year.

Star winger Jarrod Bowen is currently replacing Antonio as West Ham’s primary striking option, and the Englishman is performing admirably in his place. But with Mohammed Kudus away for the Africa Cup of Nations in January, Moyes won’t have many choices to fill Bowen’s customary out wide position.

A few injuries to important players like Bowen might potentially severely limit West Ham’s options for attack, which might make getting a new number nine necessary.

They reportedly have a few well-known names on their radar. Serhou Guirassy is having a wonderful season at Stuttgart, and West Ham is clearly interested in him, but so is half of Europe considering the alluring £15 million release clause in his contract.

Eddie Nketiah, an attacker for Arsenal, is frequently mentioned in connection with a transfer to east London. The Englishman has participated in almost every league match under Mikel Arteta and has five goals in 19 appearances in the top tier this season. Only nine of those outings, meanwhile, have been starts, which has led to speculation over his future.

According to other reports, if the proper deal is made, title-contending Arsenal may be willing to move Nketiah this window.

Nketiah is contacted by West Ham

Journalist Dean Jones shared an update this week regarding West Ham’s connections to the former Leeds loanee, and he made an intriguing comment.

Speaking with the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, Jones asserts that West Ham and Crystal Palace have gotten in touch with Nketiah to hear him out.

Regarding West Ham’s intentions to acquire a new striker, Jones stated, “They’re checking out the market, looking for value and seeing if they can find someone who can raise the level of their frontline.”

“It’s evident that they are searching because, like Crystal Palace, they reached out to Eddie Nketiah. They didn’t receive a favourable response, though.”

Nketiah is a “top level” striker, according to Arteta, even though the Gunners don’t start him every week. There are even rumours that Nketiah is valued at about £50 million.
