In his piece on GiveMeSport, Dean Jones disclosed that Barcelona attempted to force Raphinha in the direction of Tottenham, but the Lilywhites declined to accept the offer.

It now seems likely that Timo Werner, a former Chelsea player who can play as a left winger (Fabrizio Romano) and a number nine, will join the Spurs as a forward reinforcement this month.

According to Jones, Spurs were also considering a number of other players, including Rapinha. Iling-Junior has impressed Tottenham’s scouts, he claims, but Juventus is currently waiting to hear back about the North London club regarding any concrete interest.

Barcelona attempted to press Tottenham’s Raphinha.

The reporter adds that Tottenham is keeping an eye on Jota, but he downplays the possibility of Spurs acquiring Raphinha. He claims that although Barcelona attempted to court the Brazilian, Tottenham “did not take the bait.”

Interestingly, Jones says that Malen might also become a target for the Lilywhites, adding that if Borussia Dortmund is successful in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho, the Netherlands international might be headed out of town.
