According to reports, Newcastle United will step up their efforts to capture Ousmane Diomande, defender for Sporting Lisbon.

The 20-year-old, who has become an important member of Ruben Amorim’s squad, is presently being linked to a move away from Lisbon.

Before he just left for the Africa Cup of Nations, Diomande started the team’s first 15 league games this season, establishing himself as a regular in the Sporting starting lineup.

The former Midtjylland player is drawing interest from Newcastle, Arsenal, and Chelsea even though his contract expires in June 2027.

Newcastle is getting ready to step up its scouting efforts over the next month in an attempt to win the race to acquire Diomande, according to The Mirror.

The Ivory Coast international is playing in his native country during the tournament, and it looks like the Magpies will be watching him closely.

In the tournament’s opening encounter, a 2-0 victory against Guinea-Bissau gave Diomande his fourth cap. He is anticipated to play in his nation’s following two group matches, against Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria.

The centre-back, who is reportedly valued at £70 million, has also surfaced as a possible target for Real Madrid, the dominant team in Spain.

Steven Gerrard, the coach of Al Ettifaq, on November 4, 2023

Malang Sarr, a defender for Chelsea, is apparently interested in joining Al Ettifaq of Saudi Arabia before the end of the month.

In the previous transfer window, Steven Gerrard, who was named manager of Al Ettifaq in the summer, added several players to his roster.

Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Demarai Gray, and other players were signed by the former Liverpool midfielder; however, the latter has been linked to leaving the Saudi Pro League team.

After seeing his club go nine competitive games without a victory, Gerrard is searching for more help despite adding players to his squad in the summer.

Football.london reports that Gerrard is thinking about making a move for Sarr, who hasn’t been included in a Chelsea matchday squad this year.

Mauricio Pochettino does not appear to have Sarr in his plans, hence Chelsea is eager to offload the defender in the current transfer window.

The Frenchman was on loan at Monaco for the previous season, but he came back to Stamford Bridge when the Ligue 1 team declined to buy the 24-year-old.

The current Serie A winners Napoli have been linked to Sarr, while Al Ettifaq has emerged as a possible destination.

Orel Mangala of Nottingham Forest warms up prior to the December 23, 2023, game.

Along with Sarr, Napoli is apparently in the running to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Orel Mangala, a rival to Juventus.

The 25-year-old may depart City Ground this month after losing favor with Nuno Espirito Santo, the new Forest manager.

Before Steve Cooper was fired in December after a 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, Mangala started 15 of the team’s first 17 Premier League games.

Mangala has only started one of Espirito Santo’s four competitive games in charge, in contrast to Cooper’s faith in him.

Journalist Florian Plettenburg claims that Juventus and Napoli are eager to add the Belgium international to their Serie A rosters.

Juventus is hoping to sign Mangala on a six-month loan with a buyout option after speaking with the player’s representatives recently.

Although Massimiliano Allegri will ultimately decide whether or not to accept Juventus’ offer, Napoli has made an offer in recent days.

Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray, who have already had Forest reject their initial offer, are also keeping an eye on the midfield player.
