Ivan Perisic, a winger, has officially ended his time with Tottenham Hotspur by being loaned to HNK Hajduk Split until the end of the season.

Tottenham brought Perisic back to North London with previous boss Antonio Conte when they bought him on a free transfer from Inter Milan last summer.

He made 34 league appearances in his rookie campaign, providing one goal and eight assists. Since arriving, he has made 50 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and dishing out fourteen assists.

The Croatian international’s time with Spurs is coming to an end with this decision by the club, since he has six months left on his contract.

The wide attacker needed surgery on his right knee after a training incident, which has kept him out of action since September.

Next season, under Ange Postecoglou’s direction, Perisic was anticipated to be a vital member of the squad. He started him in all five of the campaign’s games prior to the player’s regrettable injury.

Although it was anticipated that the 34-year-old would recover from his injury in April, it now seems possible that Perisic may have already played in his final Spurs game.

Spurs declared that they and the Croatian team had come to an agreement. According to the club statement:

“We have come to an agreement with HNK Hajduk Split about Ivan Perisic’s season-long loan. Ivan, good luck!

Now, with sentimental significance attached to the move, Perisic will rejoin his childhood club, Hajduk Split, which is situated in his birthplace and is where he started his football career.
