Neil Redfearn offered his thoughts on Daniel James’s performance during Leeds United’s Sunday victory over Preston North End at Elland Road.

The visitors had taken the lead early in the game, but Daniel James put Leeds back on level terms in the sixth minute. James headed in a fantastic cross from Junior Firpo.

For James, this has been an incredible season. His tenth league goal of the season came from his header against Ryan Lowe’s team. In the interim, he has contributed five assists.

Following Leeds’ victory, Neil Redfearn claims Daniel James is back to his best.

James might believe that he ought to have increased his total. In the second half, he had a few opportunities and one came dangerously close to scoring with a daring lob.

Leeds James

Perhaps he hasn’t shown his mettle in the Premier League yet at age 26. However, there is no denying that since returning from his Fulham loan, he has significantly increased his game.

Additionally, Neil Redfearn of BBC Radio Leeds expressed his admiration for the winger’s performance in the 2-1 victory and his current form.

“Dan James was fantastic today, in my opinion. Now he is back to his best. He’s returned to being the player we know him to be,” he declared.

Winger should be commended greatly for proving his case.

Although Leeds was criticized for paying £25 million on James, many of us were extremely dissatisfied with his treatment at the conclusion of the summer transfer window in 2022.

James had a fantastic debut for Leeds throughout the season, but on transfer deadline day, the team was keen to add an attacker, thus James was loaned out.

Thankfully, after he was transferred to Fulham, the club did not totally screw him around.

This season, James has returned to the fold and carried out his business in a truly remarkable manner. Many of us are forced to raise our hands and declare that he has amply demonstrated our errors this term.

And for that, we are ecstatic.
