Daniel Farke praises Leeds United defender Connor Roberts
Well, Leeds United took on Rotherham United at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Daniel Farke’s side won the match 3-0. Patrick Bamford scored in the 10th minute, and Crysencio Summerville found the back of the net twice in the second half.
Connor Roberts did not start the match. The 28-year-old Wales international right-back came on as a substitute for Ilia Gruev in the 75th minute.
Connor Roberts
The defender was very enthusiastic in his approach, got up and down the flank, and got stuck in.
Leeds head coach Daniel Farke was pleased with how Roberts played on his debut for the West Yorkshire club.
The 28-year-old Wales international right-back moved to Leeds on loan from Premier League club Burnley in the January transfer window.
Farke told Leeds Live about Roberts: “It was good for him that the game was more or less done when he came in.
“He could shine with his passing and you could see his enthusiasm. A good introduction to his Leeds United life.”
Big win for Leeds United
In my opinion, Leeds United found it easy against Rotherham United at Elland Road. I think that the Whites deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter.
It was a big win for Leeds, who are very much in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Daniel Farke’s side are now third in the Championship table with 63 points from 31 matches, just a point behind Southampton. The Saints are second and have played 30 games.
