European caddie mocks Team USA during the Ryder Cup at the Valspar Championship by donning a bib

Even though Europe reclaimed the Ryder Cup in Rome with a commanding victory, it has been almost six months. However, one caddie this week is making sure to remind everyone of this.

Most people associate the Valspar Championship with Innisbrook’s “Snake Pit,” but in more recent years, caddies have also been seen wearing bibs with humorous sayings on the back. There have been some excellent ones, including as the PGA Tour pro who made fun of himself last year, but none of them compare to this one from Mike Burrows, Robert MacIntyre’s looper:

“EUR16.5-11.5USA,” a result that the United States would prefer to ignore. That’s just blatantly mocking Team USA, damn you. Too soon? It’s more like, if anything, too late. That’s some real trash talk, either way. Okay, write garbage.

Robert MacIntyre, the pioneer of most team spirit, flaunts his Ryder Cup jammies.

Following his most recent poor performance, Matt Fitzpatrick appeared to take a (subtle) go at his former Ryder Cup captains.

2023 British Open: Wyndham Clark says golf fans in Europe still don’t know who he is.

Burrows wasn’t even on Bob’s bag at Marco Simone Golf Club in September, which makes it even more absurd. The next month, these two teamed together. However, Mike is English, and we all know how important the biennial event is to Europe.

In any case, during MacIntyre’s initial few days at Innisbrook, he is teamed with two Americans, Kevin Roy and Chandler Phillips. Of course, if Robert were playing with a member of Team USA, his caddie’s message would be even more audacious. Let’s hope that occurs this weekend.
