Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou has done an outstanding job in the market thus far, and several of his additions have paid off. Spurs are reportedly in the lead in the competition to sign the next Rodri.

At £40 million, James Maddison has proven to be a great acquisition, and Micky van de Ven was virtually unknown in this country until Postecoglou enticed him to move from Wolfsburg to North London. A creative signature.

Ledley King recently questioned why no other club had expressed interest in the Dutch defender, given how good he was. Brennan Johnson, Timo Werner, and Guglielmo Vicario all appear to be very capable businessmen.

When Postecoglou enters the market this summer, a trust will be placed in him. Spurs will have a lot on their plate since they need depth in preparation for the Champions League next year. We need midfield players.

In the £68 million battle, Tottenham leads Newcastle and Liverpool.

Given that his contract is set to expire in 2025 and he has admitted he is unhappy at Spurs, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is expected to quit the team. According to reports, Juventus is quite interested in bringing the Danish star to Serie A.

1. Bundesliga: FC Köln vs. Eintracht Frankfurt

Hugo Larsson, a teenage player from Frankfurt, Sweden, is one player Spurs are interested in. Because Larsson is doing so well in the Bundesliga, reports indicate that Tottenham is in the lead in the hunt to sign him, ahead of Liverpool and Newcastle.

Larsson, who has four caps for Sweden already, is wanted by Frankfurt for an outrageous £68 million. After moving from Malmo to Frankfurt this summer, the teenager has been playing well, making 32 appearances so far this season.

“Separate” Larsson in contrast to Rodri from Manchester City

In a biography on Larsson, the Bundesliga website drew comparisons between the Swedish sensation and Rodri, of Man City, who is regarded as the best holding midfield player in the world.

“As well as an expert breaker-up-of-play, he also has the technical ability to break lines and thread through balls,” it says in the section titled “Plays a bit like Rodri.” Larsson has excellent presence thanks to his 6’1″ size.

His quick turn of speed highlights his outstanding athleticism, which is unusual for a player who is frequently seen defending players farther back. Larsson’s style of play bears similarities to those of holding midfielder Rodri.

Spurs certainly need to think about making a move if Larsson ends up being anything like Rodri, even though a £68 million fee could be a steep outlay. In a few years, he might rank among the best in the world.
