The club’s executives think they can sign much-needed additions and supplement Postecoglou’s transfer budget for the winter window with the possible Richarlison fee.

The north Londoners, who were previously prepared to turn down any bids for the forward, have now made what is known as a “U-turn” regarding his future.

Football Insider was informed by a reliable source that Richarlison’s move to the Spurs “hasn’t worked out for all parties”.

After the former Watford star scored and provided an assist in the final moments to give Spurs the victory and pull off a stunning comeback, Postecoglou praised Richarlison at a press conference.

Postecoglou stated on Richarlison, “We’ve got to maintain a balance in life and even for him” (via TEAMtalk).

He needs to understand his football is still good, he’s a fantastic footballer, he’s got so much to give and that can help ease the burden he’s feeling in other parts of his life, like so many of us.

“I’m really pleased for him – I thought he did really well. We were obviously chasing a goal and getting some balls in the box and he’s always a threat in the air.”
