When a little fan asked Wilfried Gnonto if he would play for Leeds United for the remainder of his career, Gnonto answered as he and Crysencio Summerville were visiting the Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm.

Gnonto has had a challenging season. The November 20th birthday boy hasn’t started for us since our 1-0 loss to Stoke City on October 25. In the last nine league games, he has substituted in.

In the meantime, Summervile has been playing sensationally well. The Dutchman, who had scored in Saturday’s 1-1 draw, got into a fight after the match. In 19 Championship games, he has 16 goals and 16 assists.

Summerville and Gnonto went to a Christmas party at the Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm earlier this month. During a brief Q&A session, the kids asked the Leeds United players questions.

Gnonto was asked if he would stay forever, to which he responded, as reported by Leeds Live: “With the January window approaching, one young person posed the hardest and most pertinent question of the day to Gnonto.”

The question, “Willy, will you stay at Leeds forever?” was posed to winger Gnonto. The Italian could only laugh and sheepishly say, “I’m not sure if they want me,” Leeds Live reported further. “I’m having fun here.”

When asked if he will remain at Leeds United, Willy Gnonto replies.
Gnonto has a really gifted mind. However, he is now having trouble breaking into the squad because Dan James and Summerville are both playing very well. You would expect a chance over Christmas.

Not just because rotation will be necessary, but also because Leeds has lost its last two games. Perhaps Gnonto is given an opportunity to shine in what promises to be a huge game against Ipswich.
