Jhon Arias, a star for Fluminense, has hinted that he might be willing to leave in the January transfer window. Leeds United, Rangers, and West Ham United have all been linked to a move for the Colombian player.

Arias, 26, has had a stellar performance in the Brazilian campaign of 2023. In his 59 appearances for his club across all competitions, he has contributed to 28 goals. In 2026, his contract with Fluminense is set to expire.

Leeds, West Ham, and Rangers are all interested in this kind of play. Along with Championship leaders Leicester, other teams hoping to entice him to the Premier League include Crystal Palace, Burnley, and Wolves.

The amount needed to sign Arias in January is unknown, but the player has hinted that he might be amenable to a possibility.

“My contract expires in 2026. We’re not far from a window. In football, things shift around a lot. While I’m content, I dislike making promises. It would be disrespectful to say anything more. I’m not sure what will occur next.

He alluded to a potential January transfer in an interview with ESPN.

Jhon Arias suggests Leeds might be interested in him leaving in January.
Arias would be a huge asset to any Championship team, as well as a serious addition to any Premier League team. He is still young enough to have an impact on European football at the age of 26.

Although Arias has never succeeded in Europe, his performance in the rapidly developing Brazilian division is unquestionably evidence that he can succeed here. He needs a club, though, where he can play frequently.

Does Leeds require a second winger? Not at this moment. However, Willy Gnonto will need to be replaced if he decides to leave in January. Jaidon Anthony’s loan is temporary. Arias would be a top sign if Gnonto leaves.
