It appears Radu Dragusin will sign a new contract with Genoa, keeping him at the club until 2028, despite recent interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

The injury to Micky van de Ven has put a strain on Ange Postecoglou’s team and challenged Tottenham’s depth in the middle of defense.

Therefore, it is not shocking that the Australian has expressed a wish to acquire a new center back during the January transfer window, as he fears that the team may sustain yet another injury.

Numerous names have been connected to the Lilywhites over the past few weeks, but it appears that a new target has surfaced in the last week or so: Radu Dragusin of Genoa is reportedly linked to the Spurs.

Radu Dragusin’s hunt may already be ended.

The Telegraph reported just now that Tottenham is pursuing Dragusin in their pursuit of a center-half, with a reported £26 million price tag to recruit the Romanian.

The player is expected to commit to a new contract with Genoa, according to Fabrizio Romano, so the hunt for Dragusin might be done before it’s even started.

Romano tweeted: “Director Ottolini confirms that Radu Dragusin will sign a new contract at Genoa in the coming days.” “He will be the next to sign a new contract through June 2028.” His pay will increase since, according to rumors, the present contract does not include a €30 million release clause.

I’m sure the North London club’s interest will end there, as it appears like Dragusin’s agency is using Tottenham as leverage to pressure Genoa into agreeing to a handsome new contract for the player.

However, there are still a lot of other targets available for us to concentrate on, such as Jean-Clair Todibo. Let’s sign a new attacker and get him out the door as quickly as possible.
