As all Tottenham supporters are well aware, Eric Dier’s contract with the London team expires at the end of the current campaign. Since he hasn’t signed a new deal, he will be free to speak with any foreign clubs in January about a free transfer or be sold for a low price in the upcoming transfer window to help the club raise some cash.

In the meantime, AS Roma, under José Mourinho’s management, is keeping a close eye on the Tottenham defender. According to Roma Metropolitan Magazine, the website details the desperate state of the Italian team’s defense, with the Special One suggesting he might need a new center-back in January.

They then tell who the players ‘strongly sought after’ by technical director Tiago Pinto are, among them may be found the Tottenham player.
According to reports, Eric Dier and Trevoh Chalobah are the two Premier League players.

They state that the England international “will leave the London club” in June, implying that a Tottenham contract extension is not even in the cards for him.

He has only made two Premier League appearances this season, so he has nothing more to show for his efforts. However, as was already mentioned, his lack of playing time could also be a disadvantage because Roma will want someone who can contribute right away without having to wait to regain their fitness.
