Now, Jamie Redknapp has shared what he has been informed regarding Kieran Trippier, who had a challenging night for Newcastle United last night.

In addition to being at fault for Chelsea’s late equaliser in extra time, Trippier also failed to convert a crucial penalty kick in the shootout that resulted in his team’s elimination from the Carabao Cup.

When Redknapp was analysing the match on Sky Sports, he asserted that Trippier would be well-regarded by all who knew him and that the defender would emerge from this phase stronger.

Trippier, according to Redknapp, is “among the best.”

Trippier could easily be argued to be Newcastle’s most significant and influential acquisition since the takeover was finalised in 2021.

The 33-year-old joined a team that was facing relegation after leaving a title-winning squad, and he has significantly contributed to the club’s metamorphosis and Champions League run.

The right-back has earned the right to a few off days after nearly two years of consistently outstanding performances; the fact that they’re occurring all at once is just concerning.

Trippier is a fantastic leader and character in the team, though, and as Redknapp said last night, he can get over this and come back stronger for Newcastle.

“He is one of the best Premier League players and best professionals we have seen,” Redknapp stated on Sky. When you consider all the talented players, he is unquestionably among the best.

“Everyone he meets compliments him on the wonderful job he does. He’s a superb expert. Since he has only played two or three games thus far, it will be challenging for him, but I am confident that he will overcome it. It will be crucial for him to receive training and to surround himself with positive individuals.

LONDON, ENGLAND – DECEMBER 19: Kieran Trippier

Trippier requires his teammates’ assistance.

It’s been crucial for Newcastle to have a player like Trippier in the lineup who can encourage the group as a whole through tough times while also leading them into crucial games.

The previous year’s cup final served as a prime illustration of that, and Trippier undoubtedly played a significant role in helping the players regain focus so they could recover and end the season strongly.

Redknapp is 100% correct when he states that Trippier’s teammates at Newcastle must now repay the favour by making sure he has all the support he needs off the pitch to enable him to get back to his peak on the pitch.
