Before the Tottenham Hotspur team’s Premier League matchup with Everton on Saturday, manager Ange Postecoglou has given some encouraging news regarding the players.

Brennan Johnson, Giovani Lo Celso, and Ashley Phillips will all be available for the 3 p.m. kickoff at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, according to the Spurs manager.

Following a head clash during Tottenham’s victory over Nottingham Forest last week, Johnson was forced to leave the game early; nevertheless, he has been training all week.

Lo Celso, meanwhile, missed Spurs’ game against the Reds because of a strained muscle. Before the Toffees game, he was a doubt, but Postecoglou said he is back as well.

And lastly, Phillips makes an early comeback to the team following an ankle injury sustained while playing for England Under-19 in November.

Three injury boosts for Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham

Although Postecoglou had earlier stated that he thought the 18-year-old would not be back until the New Year, he has since returned to training and is once again available.

During Friday’s pre-game news conference, the Tottenham boss responded to SPURSPLAY via the team’s official website, saying, “Yes, Brennan’s fineā€”he’s trained all week.”

Gio Lo Celso is back, as Postecoglou is quoted by BBC Sport as stating at his press conference.

“He is good, and everyone else is too, with the exception of the two boys we are missing, Yves Bissouma and Destiny Udogie, who are suspended.

“Gio has been training for the past few days, and Ashley Phillips is available as well.”

It was claimed that Postecoglou was prepared to give Phillips his debut in November; however, the injury he sustained while on international service prevented that from happening.

Now that the “phenomenal” talent is back on track, he shouldn’t have to wait too long to play in his first senior minutes for the Spurs.
