This season, Leeds United’s team is among the youngest in the entire Championship.
Daniel Farke has developed a number of young players for the Whites, such as Georginio Rutter, Archie Gray, and Crysencio Summerville, among many others.
According to Transfermarkt, only two teams have a lower average age among the players they have employed so far this season: Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers.
However, given that this is Gray’s first year playing senior football, he is the one who has truly amazed Ethan Ampadu thus far this season.
Ampadu said in an interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post that he thinks Gray’s growth is still far from complete but has been but this term has been amazing so far. It’s not the first time that he’s given him accolades.
Gray dazzling in two Leeds roles
He said, “He’s done very good, hasn’t he? He did a great job. I don’t think you need me or anybody else to stand here and compliment him on his work. However, he will admit to being his own harshest critic.
He will be the first to admit that he still has a long way to go and much hard work ahead of him. However, things are looking rather great right now. This season, he has been excellent thus far, and long may it continue.

This season, Gray has received constant appreciation from teammates, supporters, and analysts for his rapid transition from reserve to starting football player.
While teams like Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly lining up to sign the 17-year-old, perhaps he will remain at Leeds to carry on his family’s tradition for as long as possible.
Gray began the season in his preferred position of center midfield, but he was later switched to right-back, where he has also shown promise in a number of games.
