After joining Leeds United from Swansea, Joel Piroe has had a respectable debut for the Whites, tallying nine goals in 21 appearances. However, he has stated that he would be more than happy to go elsewhere.
The 24-year-old Piroe has shown he is deadly in front of goal by performing well during spurts for Leeds. However, he has been required to play in attacking midfield, and there have been times when he has been incredibly silent throughout games.
Still, the numbers are really good. In 112 Championship games, he has scored 50 goals and provided nine assists. Many clubs were taking notice of his form even before he joined Leeds. both overseas and in England.
Southampton, Leicester, Everton, and Forest all coveted him. Dortmund, Augsburg, Freiburg, and Atalanta as well. It’s unclear how long Piroe will remain at Leeds, but he is scoring goals at a rate of nearly one in two.
Given that he is only 24 years old, suitors will only continue to be drawn to that shape. After leaving PSV in the summer of 2018, Piroe has talked about his long-term future and whether he would rejoin the Eredivisie.
When asked about his future, Piroe stated, “I see my seasons in the Championship as training years for the Premier League and now I want to experience first-hand why everyone calls this the best league in the world.”
