According to sources originating from France, Tottenham Hotspur selected a preferred name from their list while they look for a center-back during the January transfer window.

Spurs presently “favor the track” that leads to OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, according to Ignazio Genuardi.

An “English source” is alleged to have confirmed that Tottenham and the Ligue 1 team already have a transfer agreement.

Since the player’s approval could be required, there are currently no specifics available regarding the fee that the clubs have agreed upon or what is still needed to complete the deal.
Genuardi just clarifies that Manchester United, “in particular,” has Todibo on their shortlist and that Tottenham hasn’t been the only team vying for the player.

Spurs have been after the 23-year-old for some time now; for some months, Premier League teams have been connected to him.

Todibo is presently valued at €35 million by Transfermarkt. It will be interesting to see how much Nice has been asking for his departure, especially because a January transfer window move is typically more costly.
