Radu Dragusin is reportedly getting closer to joining Tottenham Hotspur despite receiving interest from a few other teams, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

An update on the fight between Spurs and Atalanta for Dragusin is given in the report, which also explains that the Serie A team will now focus on other center-back targets.

This is a result of the competition they are currently up against for the Romanian player from other teams, “particularly Tottenham,” who reportedly have “arguments” that get them closer to the €30–€35 million (£26–£30.3 million) cost that Genoa is requesting, a sum that Gian Piero Gasperini’s team believes is too expensive.

Radu Dragusin’s transfer to the Spurs is approaching.

Strangely, the source claims that Dragusin is a target for Barcelona, who are prepared to pay €30 million (£26 million) for the defender; but, the defender is currently reportedly “close to Tottenham.”

The Catalan powerhouses are reportedly interested in the 21-year-old, according to Calciomercato, but Spurs are reportedly “betting heavily” on the center defender and are prepared to make an offer that is “significantly” higher than the La Liga heavyweights.

If Tottenham is moving closer to Dragusin, it may indicate that the Lilywhites have given up on chasing Jean Clair-Todibo. Spurs would have no problem outbidding Barcelona in the chase for the Romanian, especially considering their current financial difficulties.
