In the afternoon press conference at Hotspur Way, Ange Postecoglou gave a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s match against Burnley.

The FA Cup is now the centre of attention in North London as Tottenham looks to snap their lengthy trophy drought. The team’s last victory in the competition came in 1991, when Terry Venables was manager.

Spurs’ quest for a domestic trophy was dashed when they lost to Fulham in a penalty shootout, ending their chances of winning a European football championship this season.

Team news for Spurs against Burnley

As per protocol, the media is notified of the Spurs squad’s availability prior to their matchup with Vincent Kompany’s team.

Alejo Veliz will be sidelined for a few months following a knee scan, Posteoglou informed the Tottenham media team. Luckily, surgery won’t be necessary for the injury, but it happens at the exact moment when the Argentine was beginning to show promise at Hotspur Way.
