Bruno Guimarães, a midfielder for Newcastle United, has a clause in his contract that Paris Saint-Germain can use to acquire him this month.

TNT Sports Brazil claims that PSG has already contacted Newcastle regarding the midfield player.

According to reports that surfaced earlier this week, PSG is considering the Brazilian midfielder this month as they aim to restructure their team and move the project in a different path.

That notion was swiftly disregarded. Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle, even stated publicly today that the club shares his belief that he will not be trading the midfield player this month.

TNT, however, now claims that PSG and Newcastle have “made an appointment” about Guimarães, who has a €116 million release clause.

The fact that Guimarães currently has a clause in his Newcastle contract that permits any interested parties to pay his clause in three installments, however, is one important reason in their pursuit.

As a result, PSG would only be required to pay €38.6 million this month and then in two additional installments, which they could probably manage.

TNT claims that Newcastle, who are struggling with Financial Fair Play, views the transfer as “interesting” and might make a significant profit on a player they paid €42.1 million to sign.

The Brazilian midfielder must approve the deal, though, as he hasn’t yet appeared to give the possible transfer his “green light.”

However, if there were no temptation, it’s doubtful that his agency would be bothered with any of this.
