The Genoa defender Radu Dragusin is currently waiting for a potential second bid from Tottenham in order to turn down Napoli’s prospective offer.

Il Mattino, as reported by Napoli Magazine, states as much. They discuss the contract offer the Serie A champions are willing to make for the defender and which Tottenham might have to accept.

In current transfer window, Dragusin has become a sought-after player, with Tottenham and Napoli vying for his services.

Both teams have already taken steps to attempt to reach an agreement with Genoa, but thus far, the latter has rejected them and is holding out for the best deal.

In any case, they are also presenting the defence with their ideas, and according to Il Mattino, Napoli has made an offer of a five-year contract worth €2 million a season plus escalating bonuses.

Though he hasn’t yet given Napoli “final approval,” the defender’s agent has other ideas for his client and “awaits a possible relaunch from Tottenham” or possibly another Premier League team.

Spurs haven’t placed a second proposal for the defender yet, despite a story from earlier today suggesting that one would eventually surface. Their first offer was turned down.

In any case, Dragusin appears to be anticipating it since he is now keeping a distance from Napoli in order to see what they have to give before making a decision on his future.
