Ange Postecoglou undoubtedly had a significant influence on Radu Dragusin’s decision to join Tottenham Hotspur at the last minute.
The Romanian center defender, who turned down a transfer to German champions Bayern Munich, is currently in route to North London.

Dragusin also concluded that Tottenham was the best team for Harry Kane to reach his full potential, even if the player wished to play for Bayern.
Having said that, it is now known what Postecoglou said to Dragusin in order to persuade him to select Tottenham in the last moments.
The timing of the transfer and the words of the Spurs manager that influenced the choice have been extensively reported by The Times.
This story claims that Dragusin was personally informed by Postecoglou that he would get regular opportunities in the Tottenham first squad.
The center back’s decision was believed to be heavily influenced by this, possibly something Bayern couldn’t ensure.
Nevertheless, given the backgrounds of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, it’s a daring pledge.
The latter is a special left-footed profile on this team and is unlikely to be dropped.
Romero, though, might suddenly have reason to worry.
Radu Dragusin was promised regular minutes at Tottenham by Ange Postecoglou.
Cristian Romero might now be subject to repercussions for his lack of self-control this season.
Postecoglou has consistently supported his defender in public, even though some of his choices have been absurd.

And even though Dragusin isn’t likely to replace Romero right away, that might happen if that kept up.
Naturally, considering Romero will likely be out for some time with an injury, the Romanian is expected to start right away for the team.
Romero’s return to the starting lineup when healthy is undoubtedly anticipated by Spurs supporters, but it may not happen this time.
Nevertheless, with one center back on the verge of leaving, Spurs may gain from the addition of another in the future.
Things are looking a lot better for Postecoglou at Tottenham now that Dragusin is on board; perhaps a fourth center-back will come in the summer.
