Harry Redknapp projects Tottenham’s Premier League standings for the current campaign.

Harry Redknapp believes Tottenham Hotspur will place fourth this season and that Ange Postecoglou’s team can put together a run of winning games if their star players return to full health.

Given the number of injuries the team has had over the past few months, it is astonishing that Spurs are only one point outside of the top four slots.

Several athletes have undergone extensive treatment, including Cristian Romero, Micky Van de Ven, James Maddison, Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, Giovani Lo Celso, Manor Solomon, Richarlison, Ryan Sessegnon, and Ivan Perisic.

Postecoglou now has to cope without three of his usual starters, including club captain Son Heung-min, who left for the Asian Cup and African Cup of Nations, even though some of those names are still missing.

Can Spurs make it into the top four of the Premier League?

Redknapp predicted that his previous team would finish in the Champions League this season, citing the loss of Maddison for more than two months as a major blow.

The 76-year-old said on talkSPORT: “Maddison’s departure was a significant loss. He was definitely playing so beautifully. However, the center halves have both been out with injuries or suspensions when they get him back.

“But I believe Tottenham can finish in the top four this season once they have their entire roster back.” They might place fourth, in my opinion.

Spurs  Views

It seems to me that Ange and the Tottenham players are aiming for something much more significant than a top-four finish.

Although fans would understandably scoff at ideas of a possible title challenge, that is the goal within Hotspur Way, even though the players may not openly acknowledge it. Spurs are presently six points behind league leaders Liverpool.
