Orel Mangala, a Belgium international, is being pursued by Juventus and Napoli for Nottingham Forest, as reported by Sky Sports Deutschland.

It is well known that both Serie A clubs are searching for midfield reinforcements during the January transfer window, and they frequently pursue the same players.

This was fairly expected given that Juve shared a wish list of choices after hiring Cristiano Giuntoli, a director of sport, from Napoli during the summer.

According to reports from Germany, Mangala, a 25-year-old who has 12 senior caps for Belgium, is the subject of the most recent dispute.

His Nottingham Forest contract expires in June 2026, but he appears open to leaving in the January transfer window.

He only paid €13 million to join the Premier League squad in July 2022, leaving VfB Stuttgart. This season, he has made 18 appearances and scored one goal.

The asking price is probably around €25 million, which might cause problems for Juventus and Napoli in the middle of the season.

That’s about what Napoli was reportedly willing to pay Udinese for Lazar Samardzic, or so they thought, until Juventus appeared to swoop in with a summertime bid.
