Although Nottingham Forest has a reputation for being busy during transfer windows, things might be a little different this time.

There is an intriguing assertion in a report that has surfaced from The Athletic.

January is quickly approaching, so we’ve looked at what one media source is now saying regarding the transfer market from a Forest viewpoint.

The number of players Forest wants to sign is explained in the report.

The Reds added 43 new players after being promoted to the Premier League, in addition to the 13 they bought in the summer.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise to anyone that Nuno Espirito Santo desires to work at Forest with a smaller team.

According to a report from The Athletic, Forest will only try to add one to three players in the January transfer window.

Strikers and central defenders have been linked to Forest, while Wolves custodian Jose Sa has also been connected to the team.

This month, Forest will put a lot of focus on getting players out the door; some major names may be leaving.

While Andrey Santos returned to Chelsea after being recalled from his loan, Joe Worrall has been linked to a move to Leicester.

It’s time for Forest to put quality before quantity.

Espirito Santo’s desire to work with a much smaller team at the City Ground is really encouraging to hear.

It will be interesting to see who Forest can let go during the January transfer window in light of this.

There will be some fresh additions made, but Espirito Santo needs to get the players he likes, not those who are pushed into his team.

In recent years, Forest has been a bit irresponsible in the transfer market, bringing in far too many players that have little to no impact.

In light of this, the club needs to grow from its mistakes, and it’s encouraging to read in the report that only three will be added this month.
