Ivan Perisic may yet depart Tottenham Hotspur before the end of this month’s transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs have already made some excellent business, don’t they? Along with hiring Radu Dragusin permanently and placing Timo Werner on loan, they also paid off the salaries of Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier. Perisic could now depart as well.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Ivan Perisic may depart from Tottenham this month.

In the summer of 2022, Tottenham acquired Ivan Perisic on a free transfer from Inter Milan.

Spurs had to pay the Croatian a high salary in order to persuade him to join them because there were no transfer fees associated with him. A deal for £180,000 per week was approved by Daniel Levy (Spotrac).

The 34-year-old is currently the second-highest paid player at Tottenham; only Son Heung-min, the captain, earns more money from the team.

Due to injuries, Perisic has had a terrible campaign. There’s a potential he won’t play again until the next season because of the ACL injury he sustained in September.

Regarding the Croatian, Romano declared that Perisic’s future as a Tottenham player is “99 percent guaranteed.” Additionally, he asserted that Perisic might depart before the transfer window closes this month.

“My answer is no, I don’t think Ivan Perisic will play for Tottenham anymore in his career,” he stated on Kick.

“Because, well, the injury, but also because Hajduk Split is still hoping to sign Ivan Perisic in January.” They will therefore work hard to close the agreement this week and the next week.

Ivan Perisic is still eligible to leave Tottenham during the January transfer window because Hajduk wants him. However, it is almost a given that Ivan Perisic will no longer be a player for Tottenham.

Spurs ought to release him.

We believe that Ange Postecoglou would have had a great option in Ivan Perisic at Tottenham this season, particularly in the last two months.

The Croatian is among the finest ball crossers, and if he had been healthy, Spurs could have benefited greatly from his versatility.

Nevertheless, Tottenham has no business keeping Perisic on the team until the end of the campaign given the severity of his injuries.

In the next few days, it would be ideal to come to an agreement to end his contract and allow him to transfer for free.
