According to Romania’s GSP.ro, Genoa CEO Andrés Blázquez believes Radu DrăguÈ™in won’t be at Tottenham Hotspur for very long.

The center defender finalized his transfer from the Serie A team to the north London club last week, where he signed a deal that will keep him there until 2030.

Despite the long-term agreement, Florin Manea, the agent of the new Tottenham addition, has said that his client’s goal is to sign with Real Madrid or Barcelona within the next three to four years.

Blázquez has now joined Manea in speculating that Spurs will serve as a springboard for the 21-year-old to secure a much bigger move abroad.

“Drăgusin has a lot of potential, and I don’t think he’ll be a Spur for very long. Radu will get to a team in the top five in Europe! Tottenham won’t be his final stop in his career, in my opinion. In the future, I envision him at one of the top five teams in Europe,” he remarked.

According to an official from the Italian club, the player’s initial goal was to be sold for between €40 and €45 million following the Euros. After Tottenham bid for him, they were forced to alter their original intentions.

Genoa has received €25 million plus bonuses totaling €6 million from the Romanian international’s trade to Ange Postecoglou. With the defender’s assistance, Tottenham overcame fierce opposition from Bayern Munich to get his services.

Referring to his team’s choice to sell DrăguÈ™in to Tottenham this month, Blázquez stated: “We would have received a few million more from Bayern, and Radu’s contract would have been better.” However, we honored his wish to compete in the Premier League.

When DrăguÈ™in entered the game off the bench during Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, he made his Tottenham debut.
