As teams converge on the West Ham star, Moyes clarifies Benrahma’s departure attitude.

Said Benrahma may depart West Ham this month, according to David Moyes, but only if the team receives an offer for a permanent deal.

Benrahma received his first-ever red card during the FA Cup loss to Bristol City, and the Hammers turned down a loan offer from Marseille earlier in the week.

The Algerian, who may have played his final game for the Hammers due to his three-match suspension, is reportedly attracting interest from Lyon, another French team.

Before the trip to Sheffield United this weekend, Moyes stated on Friday, “I do believe Marseille made a loan offer.” “I was unaware of it following the Bristol City game.” It was knocked back, as far as I know.

“We’ll probably have to sell in order to make room for more players. If so, we’re most likely in the selling rather than the lending mindset.

Thilo Kehrer was previously granted permission by West Ham to go on loan to Ligue 1 this month, but it’s believed that part of the agreement is an obligation to make the move permanent in the summer.

The answer to the question of whether more players will be sold before the window ends was, in fact, roughly 50/50, according to Moyes. Although I can’t determine for sure, there are sounds in the background that suggest that some other individuals might be leaving.

“Before people started coming in, we probably wanted some outs.” As I mentioned, this window’s budget isn’t that large. There are numerous explanations for why there are most likely not many signings occurring.

In addition to Benrahma, the team was also accepting bids for Danny Ings, Maxwel Cornet, and Pablo Fornals this month; however, a number of offensive injuries have compelled Moyes to start those players in the starting lineup in recent weeks.

In addition to looking for a wide player, the Hammers are trying to rekindle their long-standing interest in Kalvin Phillips, who is expected to go on loan from Manchester City.

Moyes continued, “We’d like to strengthen all-around.” “We would try to sign someone in a few areas if we could, but there are no specifics.

“The main issue right now is that a lot of things changed since we lost Mo [Kudus], Jarrod [Bowen] was hurt, and Lucas [Paqueta] got hurt. Perhaps two weeks ago, our thoughts were different from what they are now. The area where we believe we might need to add players is constantly changing.
