According to Football Insider, Leeds United has reportedly begun negotiations to purchase Joe Rodon permanently from Tottenham Hotspur.

Since moving on loan to Leeds this summer, Rodon, whose career had been in decline since joining Spurs in 2020, has seemingly found his form again. He is currently the finest center-back in the Championship thus far this year.

The on-loan Spurs player and his colleagues, meanwhile, have a lot of work ahead of them if they want to assist the squad in returning immediately to the top flight. Daniel Farke’s team is presently seven points outside of an automatic promotion berth.

Joe Rodon of Tottenham is reportedly being courted by Leeds FC Football Insider reports that Leeds is moving quickly to sign Rodon on a permanent basis.

The Elland Road administration reportedly wants a transfer completed as soon as possible because they worry that if the Welshman keeps up his current level of success with the club, his price might soar.

The source even claims that a considerable amount of interest in Rodon’s services is anticipated and that the defender may possibly fetch a cost of approximately £20 million next summer—much more than Tottenham had anticipated only a few months prior.

Even with Leeds’ best efforts, Football Insider notes that a reliable source has informed them that a permanent deal for the 26-year-old is “unlikely” to close during this transfer window.

Spurs  Views

It’s possible that Rodon is not eager to join Leeds and would rather wait until the end of the campaign to find out whether they are promoted.

If the Wales international keeps performing the way he is, a few Premier League teams will undoubtedly show interest in signing him the following summer.
