Daniel Levy, a fervent advocate for Tottenham, said the player is “open to new challenges” regarding his January move.

When the January transfer market opened, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg appeared to be among the top contenders to depart from Tottenham Hotspur.

The midfield player’s transfer has been widely reported by the Italian media, but no deal has been reached as of yet.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Deutschland provides an update on Højbjerg’s status today, stating that the Tottenham player is “open to a new challenge.”

The midfield player reportedly wants to play more frequently even though he only played for 90 minutes against Manchester United the previous weekend.

Tottenham, however, is reportedly against Daniel Levy taking a loan with a buyout option, so they are not entirely certain of his departure. This is the reason that either a loan with a purchase obligation or a permanent transfer are being discussed.

Højbjerg has been linked to Juventus for months, and they are reportedly still interested in him. Plettenberg clarifies that the chase is “not involved” with Bayern Munich.

Hence, it appears that the Old Lady must try, even though they are now taking far too long.
