‘Excellent equilibrium’: Tottenham is in negotiations to buy a teenager in contrast to Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard

Due to similarities between Antonio Nusa of Club Brugge and Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur is eager to sign Nusa.

Spurs have already had some success with the January transfer window.

Timo Werner, a new forward, joined on loan from RB Leipzig prior to Spurs pulling off something of a coup.

After thwarting a last-minute attempt by German powerhouse Bayern Munich to hijack the deal, Tottenham completed the signing of Radu Dragusin from Genoa.

Spurs supporters would undoubtedly be pleased if the window closed today, but there might be one more intriguing addition before it does.

Spurs are in negotiations to recruit Antonio Nusa, drawing comparisons to Martin Odegaard.

According to HITC Football, Tottenham is negotiating to sign Antonio Nusa, a talented player from Club Brugge.

As a result of the transfer, Nusa would finish the season in Belgium before beginning his Tottenham career at the end of it.

With 63 appearances, 18-year-old Nusa has scored seven goals and provided four assists for Club Brugge, creating a lot of enthusiasm.

With just four caps, the Norwegian has already recorded one goal and four assists, demonstrating even greater skill on the international front.

There are high expectations that Nusa will join Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard as another superstar for Norway.

As a matter of fact, Nusa and the captain of Arsenal have been compared by former Norway manager Per-Mathias Hogmo, who handed Odegaard his debut on the international scene when he was just 15 years old.

Hogmo said in an interview with VG earlier in the season that Nusa made him think of Odegaard in his youth.

According to Hogmo, Nusa shares Odegaard’s “wonderful balance” with the ball and the Arsenal captain’s “ability in tight areas.”

“Looking at him yesterday made me think of Martin Ødegaard and the first time I brought him up to the national team,” stated Hogmo. “The amazing balance, the capacity to control the ball in confined spaces and simultaneously be effective in your style of play,” he continued.

Although they are currently international teammates, Nusa and Odegaard may soon turn into rivals in North London.

Even though Nusa is just 18 years old, Odegaard is experienced in handling the attention that comes with being a wonderkid and would support the winger if necessary.

If Nusa is able to perform to the same caliber that Odegaard did at Arsenal, Tottenham will have acquired a unique player with the potential to have a significant effect for many years to come.
