Tottenham is still looking at midfield possibilities because of the uncertainty surrounding Conor Gallagher’s potential deal with Chelsea. Adam Wharton, a midfielder for Blackburn Rovers, has surfaced as a potential replacement.

TEAMtalk reports suggest that certain Chelsea officials are willing to let Gallagher go this month, but the player is supposedly eager to stay at Stamford Bridge, therefore Spurs are looking at other options.

It is now reported that the North London club is joining the competition for Adam Wharton, a promising player in the Championship.

As to the source, Tottenham is expected to step up their pursuit of Wharton and make a formal offer “in the coming days.”

The 19-year-old England U20 international’s Blackburn contract was just extended till 2028.

According to TeamTalk, transfer insider Dean Jones claims that Wharton’s profile has impressed Tottenham’s management, and the team may submit an offer to sign him.

Jones claims that a £10 million offer will suffice to get his services.

Although Wharton might not make manager Ange Postecoglou’s starting lineup right away, the youthful midfielder might be taken into consideration as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s replacement.

With 26 games, including 22 starts, the center midfielder is a regular starter for Blackburn. Throughout the season, the teenager has tallied two goals and supplied three assists.
