Journalist: “Does have some legs”: Spurs may sign the 24-year-old, although Fulham is also interested in signing him.
Tottenham is still searching for new players to join in January.
Although Spurs have already added two players this month, a new central midfielder has been linked to the team on a regular basis.
Conor Gallagher has in fact been heavily linked to a move to Spurs, but it sounds like that would be a challenging transfer to complete.
Spurs may need to search elsewhere now that Gallagher may not be available. Ederson of Atalanta is one player who is reportedly of interest to Tottenham.
Ben Jacobs said on Last Word on Spurs that Ederson is a player the team may sign, but he cautioned that Fulham, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid are also interested in the midfielder.
Ederson from Tottenham
Ederson might be a Tottenham alternative.
Jacobs revealed his knowledge of the 24-year-old.
“Juve are also in the running, Fulham are looking and they’re still in the market for some sort of central midfielder, Atleti have looked historically but are looking at other targets, and Wolves don’t want to lose Gomes,” Jacobs stated.
Normal signing for Tottenham
If Ederson were to join with Spurs, it actually wouldn’t come as a surprise because this would be a classic Tottenham signing from recent years.
It comes as no surprise that Spurs are searching Serie A for possible midfield additions, as Fabio Paratici continues to advise the team.
We wouldn’t be astonished if Ederson ended up at Tottenham; given the level of competition, it would be tough to pull off, but given the success of several of Paratici’s recent Serie A acquisitions, it would be worth it.
As the January transfer season comes to an end, this is undoubtedly a situation to watch
