£21k every week The target from Leeds is poised to depart; he now has ten teams to choose from.

As the January transfer window draws near, Leeds United is reportedly interested in Rangers defender Borna Barisic, thus a trade for the player could yet happen.

This is in line with a TeamTalk report. They contend that Barisic is no longer a factor because Brazilian left-back Jefte will soon join Ibrox; his contract is set to expire in the summer.

Rangers have two left-backs: Ridvan Yilmaz, who recently made his debut under Philippe Clement, and Barisic. The Belgian manager has opted to add a fresh left-wing player. Barisic is in stock.

The Croatian was linked to Leeds early in the transfer window, but TeamTalk now claims he is in limbo. Despite earning £21k a week, Barisic is reportedly “desperate” to stay put, and it is said that he will depart this month.

With ten pre-contract bids on the table, the set-piece specialist—who shone in Rangers’ Europa League final squad—could still depart in the coming days. Leeds may be among those who will soon relocate.

Borna Barisic, a target for Leeds, has ten offers before he leaves.

Barisic would make a fantastic addition. Even so, Junior Firpo is currently performing at the level that was anticipated of him when he arrived from Barcelona, and he has earned Daniel Farke’s trust at Elland Road.

While Sam Byram, a Leeds academy product who has played largely on the left this season, may be utilized more on the right, moving for a left-back might not be as crucial as buying a right-back.

It remains to be seen if Leeds makes a late move and whether Barisic indeed leaves Ibrox in the coming days. A player who, should he join to Leeds, would reunite with Glen Kamara.
