According to Football Insider, Ange Postecoglou has made the decision to offer Bryan Gil consistent playing time until the end of the campaign in order to give the winger an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities at Tottenham.
Many Spurs supporters may have been surprised that Gil decided to stay at the team, given that in the closing days of the transfer window, the young player was strongly connected to loan moves to teams like Brighton (Daily Mail) and Lazio (Daniele Trecca).
Ange Postecoglou stated to Football.London last week that he had no authority to “push people out” of the team and that the 22-year-old might play a significant role in the upcoming months in response to a question on the Spaniard’s decision to stay.

Spurs reverse course on Bryan Gil’s role
Football Insider has recently clarified that during the January transfer window, Tottenham made Gil available for both a loan and a permanent transfer.
The former Sevilla player, it is alleged, turned down every approach, including ones to go back to Spain.
It’s claimed that Postecoglou has changed his mind after the player’s choice and is now willing to provide Gil consistent first-team playing time over the coming months.
