“The sky is the limit for him”: Defender who praised 23-year-old Postecoglou after leaving Spurs in 2023 now wishes to sign
With many names already on the club’s radar, Tottenham Hotspur looks to be getting set to make a move for an attacking player during the summer transfer window.
Raphinha and Spurs had previously been connected. Pedro Neto has had a terrific season thus far for Wolves, and Tottenham is keeping an eye on him as well.
Pedro Neto has performed admirably for Gary O’Neil’s team. Only Ollie Watkins and Kieran Trippier have contributed more assists than the Portuguese in the Premier League, as demonstrated by Whoscored.
Matt Doherty praised Pedro Neto, a Tottenham target.
Wolves will know that it will be very challenging to hold onto the 23-year-old during the summer. Manchester City is likewise considering Neto. Therefore, it would be shocking if Wolves did not have multiple bids to consider when the market reopens.
He would undoubtedly be a very exciting addition to Tottenham, especially in light of remarks made earlier in the season by former Spurs right-back Matt Doherty.
Doherty asserted in an interview with the Express and Star that the winger’s potential is boundless.
“Pedro has always been capable; two years ago, he was doing this; he’s simply had ailments that have prevented him from moving further.
The sky is the limit for him now that he appears fit. Despite his sad injury history, we’re beginning to see his finest side again.
“He was doing this kind of thing when he was 19 years old, but he was injured for a few of the years I was away.”
A winger would be an excellent addition.
Tottenham winning the summer transfer chase to sign Neto would be a major coup. He is undoubtedly one of the Premier League’s most interesting young players at the moment. Furthermore, Ange Postecoglou’s team is without a doubt among the best in the division to watch.
He has obviously experienced injury problems in the past. That could therefore be a worry for the teams getting ready to try to spend a lot of money on Neto this summer.
But if he does reach his full potential, this summer’s acquisition for a team like Tottenham would be nothing short of spectacular.
