Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, has expressed his dissatisfaction with his circumstances at the team under the new boss.

The Danish international believes that the Australian should have greater faith in his talents given he has only recently begun playing under Ange Postecoglou.

“Of course, I’m not happy with what’s going on at the club,” he told Tipsbladet. I don’t make a big deal out of it, but it’s also not a secret.

“Knowing that I’m giving it everything I have to prove to the coach that he should have faith in me, I can lay my head on the pillow. Currently, this isn’t the case, and the coach needs to provide an explanation.

In the Premier League, the 28-year-old midfielder has only started six games. A player of his caliber should get more playing time this season. He is currently at the height of his abilities, but it will be interesting to watch if he can push his way into the starting lineup in the weeks left before the season ends.

The midfield player has been strongly connected to leaving Tottenham, so if things don’t get better in the summer, it’s reasonable to believe he’ll go on.

Tottenham no longer fits Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s style.

Since taking over at the North London club, Postecoglou has imposed a free-flowing, attacking style of football, and it seems that the Danish international is not suited to his playing philosophy. In recent weeks, Tottenham has been linked to several central midfield players. It will be interesting to watch if they choose to replace Hojbjerg at the end of the season with a capable player.

Spurs need to bring in a creative midfield player who can lead the team in creativity and drive while also controlling games. In recent months, players such as Ederson Dos Santos and Conor Gallagher have been connected to the team.
