Giovani Lo Celso is still questionable for Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League match against Everton this weekend, according to The Standard.

Spurs’ injury list is still lengthy, with players like James Maddison, Micky van de Ven, Manor Solomon, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon, and Ivan Perisic still out with injuries, despite the fact that some of them have been able to return in recent weeks.

With Yves Bissouma receiving a four-match suspension for receiving his second red card of the season during the team’s 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Friday, the list of absentees is expected to continue to expand.

Lo Celso might not play against Everton

Due to a minor injury he suffered during practice, Lo Celso was unable to travel with Spurs to the City Ground. However, Ange Postecoglou stated last week that the problem was not a major concern.

The Argentine is unlikely to play in Spurs’ final game before Christmas against Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, if The Standard’s update is accurate.

According to the publication, the 27-year-old might return later this month to take against Brighton or Bournemouth.

They do, however, have good news about injuries: Brennan Johnson, who was substituted against Forest due to a head injury, is anticipated to play on Saturday.

The fact that Lo Celso can’t maintain his level of fitness for very long is still a big concern. Given that Maddison is sidelined, this is a perfect occasion for the Argentine to step up and perform, but it appears that his fitness concerns may once more deny him the chance to ignite his Tottenham career.

In Bissouma’s absence, Ange Postecoglou now has to choose between pairing Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg alongside Pape Matar Sarr.
