Less than two weeks remain until the January transfer window opens for business, and if Man United has not yet made Sir Jim Ratcliffe official by then, there’s every reason to think that the Red Devils will be among the busier teams in the market in January of 2019.

It’s obvious that United needs to reevaluate its priorities when it comes to team composition and transfers because their current standing in seventh place in the 2023–24 season—11 points behind leaders Arsenal—is unacceptable.

Although they still aren’t quite the same team as they were at the beginning of the season, Tottenham seems to have found their groove recently.

The Lilywhites will benefit more from Ange Postecoglou having a full roster of players to choose from as soon as possible. A large portion of that will be due to injuries sustained by important players like Micky van de Ven and James Maddison.

Football.london (via Cartilage Free Captain) reports that Spurs have had discussions with one of Man United’s top January targets in the interim.

The idea that Jean-Clair Todibo would sign for the Red Devils is certainly not too far-fetched, given his stellar reputation as a center-back and the fact that he now plays for Sir Jim’s Nice team.

Given that the North Londoners have already initiated contact with Todibo, perhaps further humiliation will befall United eventually.
